I scream, you scream, we all scream for dank memes š„
Reshaping the news narrative and possibly saving Western Civilization, the meme makers of the world are on the front lines of the war on disinformation
āLetās go Brandon, I agreeā is still to this day the most sensible and coherent thing that Joe Biden has rambled out since he assumed the position of leader of the free world on January 20th, 2021. We are currently sitting at the juncture where, we have seen and lived through the horrors happen both domestically and abroad on every categorical level imaginable. As the democrats assumed full control of the federal government and began to tear the Trump legacy down, we saw first through executive order, then through cabinet position hires and appointments and last through proposed legislation just how absolutely screwed we (the working middle class Americans) all really are.
If you start at the top, with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, you donāt have to look too much further to get to the root causes of everything thatās wrong with the nation at the moment. Joe Biden has never been, in his nearly 50 years of government service, a leader. He has always been one of the good ole boys, with close ties to big pharma and Wall Street who always added a pinch of plagiarism and racism to whatever he was doing up on Capitol Hill. Kamala Harris on the other hand has never technically won an election; she essentially slept her way up the rank and file of the progressive California State Legislator and as a prosecutor laid waste to the urban population of the Golden State for the time she served as the Attorney General and as a Senator there. Even with all the manipulation and tampering that big tech (Zuckerberg, Facebook, Stacy Abrams, the teachersā unions and labor unions) were allowed to get away with during the 2020 Presidential Election, its hard to fathom how Biden and Harris campaigned on literally, zero platform and still were able to accomplish the crime of the century.
Next you look at the cabinet picks and senior positions that Joe Biden would be bringing with him to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, the no experience Mayor Pete (complete with chest feeder) to run the Transportation Dept. or Xavier Becerra to run HHS (with Randy Lavine). Revenge hires like Merrick Garland, who was shunned by Republicans as a SCOTUS nominee under Obama to head the DOJ, or Alejandro Mayorkas to head DHS after being riddled with scandals for almost the entire time that he served as the director of CIS in the Obama administration (for play-for-pay visas, etc.). Next, youāve got our (least) favorite former Susan Rice staffers like John Kirby and John Sullivan and pair them with a career ass-kisser like Ron Klain serving as Joe Bidenās Chief of Staff.Ā Not to mention that Llyod Austin, the Biden Sec. Def. was loathed by his troops in Iraq and he was going to be playing partner with General Mark (pronouns) Millie and the rest of the high-ranking virtue signals currently at the controls of our national defense. And while all these unqualified, inexperienced and inept figures were heading into the Beltway, you had all of the crazies like Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, the Squad and RINO Republicans already there waiting to embrace this perfect storm and recipe for disaster with open arms and a blank check.
With the pipelines closing and regulations being reimplemented gas prices steadily began to rise. As no real solution for the pandemic came from the administration that campaigned on āending the pandemic,ā we began to see empty supermarket shelves at a level not seen since the 1970s. Schools remained shuttered in many places, and in places where education was being given in-person, children were still wearing masks and parents were fighting up against the radical, progressive leftsā insane vaccine mandates. All while the U.S. DOJ was planting federal agents undercover into school-sponsored events and settings to try and undermine and demonize the middle-class families and parents fighting for the basic rights of their children. The U.S. Southern Border eclipsed the 2 million illegal entries mark (that we know of) and the flow of asylum seekers form over 180 countries continued to push the limits that our frontline men and women work down there could humanly handle.
Then came the Afghanistan debacle. In what could be considered as the greatest military disaster in the history of our country, we, for the first time in maybe forever, allowed on a global scale for our enemies to see a chink in the armor of the strongest military on the face of the earth. While we were retreating from the battlefield of a 21-year war with no winners, we were at the same time delivering the most strategic air base in the region to our Chinese rivals and in the same breath, handing over enough ammo, artillery, weapons and equipment to the Taliban which made them (by default) the 9th largest military on the face of the earth. Between the Build Back (crappier) Better bill, to the Voter Integrity Bill, to the Green New (bullshit) Deal, each came with the price tag that would further bankrupt our country and be the final death blow to the American middle class. We had seen bad before, and in the past and as conservatives have tried to demonize the radical left; catastrophizing their every move and being critical of their every proposed piece of garbage legislation, but this was different. Different by a lot. And it was coming all at once in a āburn it all down fashionā that did nothing but weaken us on every level and strengthen and embolden our adversaries, namely China to overtake us in the global market and as the last, legitimate superpower and beacon of hope on the face of the earth.
In almost chronological fashion we then saw Russia begin to make moves, like the ones they used during the Obama presidency when they annexed Crimea (a southern portion or Ukraine) and lead revolutions in the disputed territories, the Donbas Regions in eastern Ukraine. Amassing troops on its western borders, Russia began to shakeup the global markets and the energy sector, namely oil by posturing itself in a position to see if the rest of the world would take a stand against the Soviet State or allow for more annexing as was the case when Obamaās red line in the snow was trampled by Russian tanks when they entered Crimea in 2014. But when Joe Biden issued a statement halting oil and gas leases amid a legal fight over climate costs and saying that a āminor incursion by Russian forces into Ukraine wouldnāt warrant U.S. intervention,ā over the last week in February, it didnāt take long before Russia invaded Ukraine (02/24/2022) and pulled the Western World into a debate on whether intervening there could spark a nuclear war and if that prospectus to assist an independent nation (albeit corrupt) was worth saving.
It's enough to make the hair you havenāt pulled out yet turn gray, and then fall out. Especially if the reader is in the demographic of working middle class or blue collar, as the author is. Life was better than average during the Trump administration; we all were taking home more money, gas prices were low, we were gaining energy independence, good trade deals were flourishing, bad trade deals were a thing of the past. Regulations were low, tariffs were high, and we had a border that was more secure that it has been in nearly 40 years. China was reeling, North Korea and Russia seemed less lethal, and we were strengthening relationships with allies like the Saudis and India while the globalist regimes in Europe the likes of Germany and France could do nothing more than their counterparts at Davos and WEF did for four years, sit on their hands and take the full-bore of America First. Ā And we can go on and on about the Hunter Biden laptop, its contents and the effect it had on the outcome of the 2020 Presidential Election, however, I think weāre going to make that the primary focus of our next Steak for Substack.
So, itās apparent that things are bad, to say the least. The average, American blue-collar worker and the middle-class family is blatantly and relentlessly under attack from the globalistās regimes and now their American counterparts occupying the federal government. How can we survive onslaught? What makes the average person get out of bed in the morning, when they see the now 8% inflation rate, the cost of fuel at the pump to fill their cars and heat their homes, then empty shelves at the grocery stores and the indoctrination of their children in the public school system? The answer is simple: with memes.
Some of the best parts of being into politics and commentating on the busiest news cycle since World War II is that in this age of technology the meme makers of the world have not only carried the news cycle in most cases, but theyāve also reshaped it. In helping us wade through the mis, dis and mal information we get in the legacy media, the digital artists have reshaped the way we look (and laugh) at the world today. The host of the John Bachman Show, John Bachman has even highlighted the biggest and best of the absolute bangers of the week on his daily NewsMax show, with a segment entitled: āMeme Team.ā
As Instagram user @dumbassphotoshop puts it: āThey (memes) are weapons in a propaganda war weāre in. The left hits us with a machine gun fire of lies, so we drop meme mortar rockets on their heads. Their āweaponsā canāt match ours. Truth bombs slap harder than commie fables. We must keep dropping our return fire (memes) as long as they fire (fake news) on usā¦ And we have an endless supply of meme ammo.ā
Another veteran in the meme community, @tylertimelord3.0 from the Fren Zone Meme Share group on Instagram told me: āIn a world plagued by illusions, deception and propaganda, memes (have) become humanityās cultural immune system to destroy it all. Memes are an art form that allow us to embody, compact and share powerful ideas to the masses that teach the truth and expose the shadows of falsehood as God intended.ā
One of our favorite meme crafters, @snack.thickolson on Instagram wrote: āUnexpected political memes have become a worthy antidote to combat the elitist, global propaganda. Through comedy and their concise manner, they can tell a story with a quick, easily digestible glimpse. Truth and humor will help take down these evil world leaders.ā
Patriotic Meme Alliance member, @that_southern_dude laid it on us: āMemes, if created properly, can be the driving force of truth in the information war. You can call them (memes), little truth bombs.ā
Another member of the Patriotic Meme Alliance, @what.i.meme.to.say weighed in: Memes are important because they can deliver a quick message. The art or caption may grab your attention and get you thinking about a topic to hopefully do some further research. Meme can be funny to make you laugh during tough times.ā
Great friend of the Podcast, @sublimeinslime added: āMemes are powerful. So powerful that our Department of Defense has dedicated resources to the study; creation and impact that memes have on a population. Both foreign and domestic, NATO Strategic Communications Centre of Excellence has determined that memes are vital to information warfare, a critical aspect of being able to control the narrative, ideas and social controls in a social media battlefield. But the most effective memes have been proven to have originated from grassroots shit posters. People who meme for fun and about something they are passionate about. We saw the results of how memes created by users from 4chan and r/ The_Donald on Reddit had the ability to impact the outcome of a Presidential Election in 2016. It was forced to spend resources trying to combat them.ā
And finally, @letsgobrenda2 weighed in, āMemes are an important part of our life because we use them to share joy and laughter with others. Memes can address social pressures, politics, big social shifts through as ways that can make people laugh while making a point. Memes have become a crucial way to spread information due to how easily they are shared.ā
As you can clearly see, the meme makers and their takes on how memes are literally the saving grace that is keeping us from falling victim to the Great Global Reset are just as diverse as their art that they post for us across social medias. Regardless of how well they slap, they are making a difference in combating the legacy media and their endless portrayal of fake news distribution. In the end will it really make a difference? Possibly. Will it make us laugh and enjoy the end of Western Civilization a little bit more? Absofuckinglutely
