MAGA vs (fake) MAGA vs the Establishment
As the midterms heat up and SCOTUS arrives with unexpected America First rulings we are entering a critical phase in the Republican Civil War bringing us to the eleventh hour for the MAGA Movment
As we passed the halfway mark of the 2022 midterm election season, the nationalist, populist pushback defining lines couldn’t be blurrier. Where I once thought that radical, progressive agenda that has destroyed the energy industry, tanked the economy, opened our borders and removed us from the position of global leader would unify the Republican Party heading into November, the rift is now wider than ever before. A combination self-inflicted wounds, the refusal to rally behind candidates, the back-room dealings between the moderate left and the K Street establishment have all been major contributing factors that have led to an election season where, we should see solid enough numbers to flip the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate, but it may not be in a fashion as large or sweeping if we had some kind of logistical coordination between both chambers. Especially after the results of the 2020 Presidential Election and the happenings that have occurred for the past seventeen months via the Biden Administration. Unfortunately, we’ve seen stereotypically: quite the opposite and more of the same from the Republican Gang up in the Beltway - everything stemming from leadership issues to party dissension and everything in between. It has fueled the war going on behind the scenes, a (real) MAGA vs (fake) MAGA vs the (actual) Establishment -which threatens to lessen the upcoming major wins we are looking to score in the midterms this November.
If you look to the root causes of the mess within the Republican Party, you don’t have to search very long before you identify the major deficiencies with leadership that has been plaguing our side of the isle for decades now. Not since the likes of Speaker Newt Gingrich have, we seen a Speaker, Leader, Congressman or coalition similar that really whipped and rallied the party in such a manner that it was a real driving force that represented an embodiment more like the people and less akin to the establishment, special interests and lobbyist groups who now control most of the narrative within the hallowed chambers.
Aside from getting a large majority of the Federal Judges that President Trump nominated confirmed, Mitch McConnell has literally done nothing for the past decade as the Leader in the Senate. McConnell has always been weak on China, cowers at bolstering border security and in the past few years contributed to the economic crisis by signing onto the Covid-19 Relief Package and most recently joined with thirteen other Republican Senate defectors who cosponsored a Democrat-proposed gun control bill. Since the 2020 Presidential Election, McConnell has all but broken ties with Trumpworld exposing his Uniparty ties for all the world to see. So much so that many of the Trump-endorsed, America First candidates running in the midterm elections have vowed to vote for a change in leadership come January 2023. However, and due to the severe lack of spine that other current Republican Senate members have shown in the face Biden Administration raises red flags which lead me to believe that there is a major battle ahead for control of Senate Leadership which may be led by some of the new crop of outstanding candidates running in the midterms like Blake Masters, Adam Laxalt, Eric Greitens and Herschel Walker.
In the House we know that all of the issues that surround the narrative of the establishment and Wall Street connections to the party start and end with Steve Scalise and Kevin McCarthy. For years now they in addition to many other pseudo never-Trumpers have slowed the America First agenda and catered to the legacy talking points like lowering taxes, amnesty for illegals and “fixing” healthcare. While the Republican Party in the House haven’t tended to the actual needs of the blue collar, middle class in this county, we have seen since the second term of the Obama Administration our public-school education system collapse, crime overcome some of our largest major metropolitan areas, homelessness team up with the opioid and fentanyl crisis to spin out of control, the U.S. Southern Border ripped wide open, and our military fundamentally be dismantled from the top down. The House has provided no oversight in to why we were locked down during the global pandemic, why experimental vaccines were forced on both the private and public sectors and now still are being forced on children. There have been no investigations into how DHS has been able to unconstitutionally release millions of unchecked and unvetted economic migrants into our country or how the DOJ has been weaponized against parents who dare challenge the Department of Education and the Teachers Union when their children are being exposed to their dirty and disgusting woke curriculum. Conservative and religious voices are repressed and marginalized in the media and online at unprecedented levels and to a point where people who championing returning to God in the same likeness as being a crazy conspiracy theorist. All of this has occurred while both McCarthy and Scalise rose in the ranks within the party and now sit in a position of leadership where McCarthy (the biggest Republican moneymaker besides Donald Trump on the planet) is primed to become Speaker of the House if not pushed back on hard following the midterms.
It’s an unequivocal fact that our House and Senate members have failed us. Aside from a small minority of them constantly at the forefront like Ron Johnson, John Kennedy and Rand Paul in the Senate and Matt Gaetz, Marjorie Taylor Green, Paul Gosar, Jim Jordan, Jim Banks and a few others in the House, there aren’t very many other Congress members (numbers-wise) who are overtly for the 45th President of the United States and the (real) nationalist, populist, America First agenda. Now we should see some self-correction following the midterm elections with the addition of several strong America First Senators and a huge number of the same type of House Representatives like the Joe Kent’s, John Gibbs, Max Miller’s and Mike Collin’s of the world - it’s my hope that a large majority of the scorned former Trump Admin officials running for Seats will take that huge chip on their shoulders and parlay that into redirecting the entire direction of the House geared more towards America First. A lot of this prospective begins with a major push back and reigning in of Kevin McCarthy.
Now differences in legislative proposals and alliances to lobby groups don’t necessarily attribute enough to declare war within the party. However, when you start to breakdown just how not America First these legislative backings is and combine them with the battlefield that is the 2022 midterm elections then you find the recipe for potential destruction that is uncommonly plaguing the Republicans at the moment.
Let’s look at he facts: In the Senate, Mitch McConnell has directly ran attacks against at least three of the candidates who could help rebalance the Senate in the Republicans favor. McConnell along with Karl Rove has been caught creating fake smear campaigns against Eric Greitens regarding his family, particularly his ex-wife. McConnell as provided logistical aid to both Mark Bernovich and Jim Lamon in an attempt to keep them relevant in the Arizona Senate race and it’s now being speculated that a confidants in Georgia are working overtime to find anything and everything they can to try and smear the Senate campaign of Herschel Walker who is the Trump-endorsed, MAGA candidate there.
Kevin McCarthy, with the help of Ronna McDaniel and the nationwide money-making apparatus they control via the RNC have played key roles in funding Republican opponents of Congressional House candidates that have either been endorsed by Donald Trump or are legitimate America First. Joe Kent (WA-3), Mike Collins (GA-10), Robby Starbuck (TN-5) and Anthony Sabatini (FL-7) are just some of the notable nationalist, populist, America First candidates who have come under assault by the establishment in the Beltway. McCarthy’s loyalty to Donald Trump is as legitimate as the January 6th Committee and until Donald Trump pushes back on McCarthy we should expect to see more of the same non-winning and sabotage in the future, especially if McCarthy acquires the Speaker Gavel this winter. I am glad to hear that finally there are murmurings of Trump becoming increasingly dissatisfied with the job and role McCarthy is play as House Minority Leader. So much so, that earlier this week in an exclusive interview with NewsMax, Trump clarified that his current endorsement of McCarthy starts and ends with his Congressional House Seat - and to this point, has not endorsed anyone for Speaker following the midterms.
Current Conservative Influencers and the Legacy Media are just as complicit in harming the nationalist, populist movement and as the aforementioned elected officials are. Pundits from major news outlets like the Paul Ryan-directed, FoxNews predetermine candidates based off of preference rather than party affiliation or whether they were king made by Donald Trump. They’ll bend the narrative and shape the race based off of their predetermination and not what maybe best for the Party or the movement. Recent reference points to this were clearly seen in this midterms election cycle, first in Georgia and the networks love fest for Brian Kemp, and currently in the Arizona Senate race where RINO do nothing candidate, Mark Bernovich is regularly given panel spots in prime time where Trump endorsed frontrunner, Blake Masters is not.
Even more harmful is the influence (or tweetfluence) of some of the largest conservative pundits and influencers on social media platforms. With millions of followers who often retweet or share their content (often without understanding or even an opinion) have already reaped considerable damage in this midterm election cycle with the general elections still five months away. And that goes without saying, each is entitled to their own opinions, shit, we sure hope that everyone that who listens to the Steak for Breakfast Podcast doesn’t agree with all of our narratives, our commentary or our guests. However, we know our role, we try to at least stay in our lane and try to make sense of it all - but at the end of the day it’s going to be you the listener and the reader who ultimately makes the decisions on who you follow and what the reason you do so is, for yourselves.
We all know that current power in the U.S. Senate is 50/50 with the Vice President, Kamala Harris as the tie breaker. In this midterm election cycle we have the opportunity to legitimately flip three seats, in Nevada (Laxalt), Arizona (Masters) and Georgia (Walker). There maybe more but, these three races are clearly ones that are polling favorably heading into the summer and post-primary months. Getting the Senate to 53/47 would be a monumental shift, especially since the three aforementioned candidates all have openly expressed their desire for a change in Senate Leadership, namely Mitch McConnell. Now the only things that hinder workable options for a new Senate Majority Leader would come on the heels of the general election where we would surrender other Senate Seats to the democrats or simply have RINOs win instead of America First candidates.
In Pennsylvania, we have seen a whirlwind of a primary season come to a close, in which former U.S. House candidate, Sean Parnell left the race early amidst a family-related situation, and for the most case, political outsider, Dr. Oz, interject himself into the race, secure a Trump endorsement (over longtime Trump loyalist, Dave McCormick) and eventually win the primary to become the Republican nominee. Do I personally like how those events went down and ultimately what became the results of the race? Absolutely not. And in a perfect world would I feel a lot more secure in knowing the MAGA agenda is in safer hands with a seemingly more capable pick of Parnell (top-tier) or McCormick (close second)? I sure would. However, it would be almost irresponsible of me to just rail against the latter without even trying to source whole narrative of where we currently sit for the general election with Dr. Oz as the Trump endorsed nominee set to fight for the seat later in the fall.
So I poked around and was able to talk offline and off the record with several of those who regularly work with President Trump. By regularly work, I mean face time, every week, talking agenda and talking about these races. From my collaborative conversations I gathered that in addition to working on two Presidential Panels for the 45th President (Health and Fitness and Covid-19) and having a long established, but private relationship with him, President Trump made the decisions to endorse Dr. Oz for a few reasons and a few reasons only. And they are: 1) Oz will be in the body of Senators who will vote to change leadership in the Senate. 2.) Oz will vote to push things directly related to the MAGA agenda. And 3.) Albeit a historically Red State, Pennsylvania weirdly will get into these funks where they just vote purple. While Oz can stump on MAGA, he also can cater to suburban mothers and independent voters who for years watched him as a paid, Hollywood Doctor on his show that he was notably famous for. Aside from that, those were the answers I found when I went digging, and although just about everyone I spoke with expressed cautious optimism with the pick, they all reassured me that this was what Daddy T wanted to roll with.
So why are some of the influencers online and in the podcast community so hellbent on 86’ing Oz and a Senate Seat that at the end of the day and in perfect storm would, lessen our majority from 53 to 52? And why haven’t the same pundits gone full attack mode on some of the other, what some would consider, God awful and head scratchingly bad picks? It really does pain me to even have to go to these lengths to sort it out for everyone and if anyone has some insight as to what I see as blatant hypocrisy then by all means, let’s arrange a date and time to sit down and talk about it (news shows air every Tuesday and Friday).
Jack Posobiec and Mike Cernovich, for two, have made Oz the hill at the end of the Yellow Brick Road that they’ve chose to die on. Regardless of why or how we’ve gotten to Oz as the Republican nominee or who’s endorsed him, they have decided that the county will literally end if he’s allowed to win the PA Senate Seat this November. And while most of their attacks are founded and legitimate, I still can’t comprehend why after all we’ve laid out here (and Jack and Cerno are both brilliant journalists and analysts who have done this a lot longer than we have and who already know the entire backstory and what is at stake) these commentators are so willing to surrender a seat to the Democrats in such a time where our country hangs on by the last of its threads.
And in the same breath, we have already seen what catastrophic results can happen when we all don’t circle the wagons in some of these races where in my opinion, their energy and massive reach (we’re taking millions and millions) could have already helped the numbers in the MAGA movement via races we have already lost this primary season. Some of the notables which stuck out to me were: Vernon Jones (wtf) in GA-10 - should have never happened, and we were very pleased so see him get trounced by actual Trump Republican, Mike Collins, Katie Arrington in SC-1, where was her Poso/Cerno bump in her race vs Liz Cheney disciple, Nancy Mace? Madison Cawthorn (a real favorite of Trump’s) lost in a margin so small that you have to figure if the biggest voices in the movements rallied behind you online, then it may have been enough to turn the tide. Even in less national attention-driven races, like NJ-4 where former broadcaster, Mike Crispi entered the race in January and wound up taking 40% of the vote away from RINO incumbent, and openly never-Trumper, Chris Smith. Smith, who lives in VA and not in NJ (like Poso and Cerno constantly give Oz shit for online) has voted for open borders, impeachment, the covid relief bill and just about everything that Nancy Pelosi puts in front of him. These are the facts, and those are the “receipts” guys. If they come up with a better way to “influence” and “educate” their followers, it’s not going to matter if Herschel Walker (GA), Blake Masters (AZ) and Adam Laxalt (NV) all flip their respective seats, we will still only control 52 if Oz is defeated in the Keystone State.
Like we get it, Oz is less than marginally attractive when it comes to the MAGA base and the movement, but all I’m saying is that if you’re going to direct your energies at candidates like Oz, then do it across the board for all of them (even James fucking Langford walked to a 70 plus % primary win in his primary, and I dare you to try and find a bigger RINO and McConnell teat sucker than him), and maybe direct some of that big influence towards getting the candidates who are struggling or that we need to get over the finish line actually over it - before we lose any more potentially quality America First candidates that we are going to need to reign in the House and Senate next January. It’s like cool to see you lads gaslight everyone on Twitter, when in actuality you’re doing anything but helping. Ask former candidates like Katie Arrington, Mike Crispi and Madison Cawthorn - I am sure they would have loved some of your guys, “influence.”
It comes down to the reality that we are currently in a war for the soul of our nation. While we are all fighting back against the Globalist and the radical, progressive left, we find in-fighting and chest puffing levels also at an all-time high. In instances where we have incurred many losses at the hands of the Biden Regime over the past 17 months, we have also enjoyed recent lifetime achievement-level wins issued from the U.S. Supreme Court that have releveled the playing field heading into the last quarter of the midterm election season. We have seen a lot of the America First message resonate with more than just the base so far this that it gives me hope that we may be finally all be congregating back in a direction that gets this country back on her feet again. I can’t stress enough though, that at this all-important juncture in time is the point where we all need to suck it up and do the hard things. We can’t have our cake and eat it too right now, but we sure can fight in ways we haven’t previously and get back to those unimaginable levels of winning again.
