Making the case for Zelensky is justifying the case for Trump
The Ukrainian President’s World Tour rolled into D.C. this week and played to a packed House (of Representatives) while plot to kill America’s contemporary political folk hero rages on.
Okay, I’ve seen enough. To be honest, I think we all have.
After Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky jet set out of the worst war zone in the history of war zones to be received in Washing D.C., red carpet and all, we could all assume that the worst was yet to come when he hopped out of the limo at the White House and was received by Joe Biden wearing a sweatsuit.
But I wasn’t ready for how the next twelve hours would unfold; quite honestly, I don’t think anyone was.
First, there was the comfy chair meet and greet, where both “leaders” fumbled their words, gazed into each other’s eyes and exchanged gifts that were passed on the backs of made-up stories. Joe Biden looked typically confused and more than uncomfortable.
Next, was the joint presser, and although the spray hair and makeup were on point, Zelensky continued his blatant disregard for head of state visits and remained in his combat sweats while joint-presser’ing with the leader of the free world. Joe Biden glowed about giving the embattled nation Patriot Missile Systems, while Zelensky bragged that he would be soon asking for more.
Optics are everything, right?
And later last evening, the crown jewel of the visit would culminate up on Capitol Hill, in the House of the People when Zelensky took to the podium to address a session of Congress.
As the sheep who currently occupy our Congress blindly clapped on and standing ovation’ed the Ukranian leader as he compared his nations regional border skirmish with Russia to World War II when the United States saved the world from Hitler and the Nazi’s (that’s the German Nazi’s, not the current Nazi’s who operate freely on behalf of Ukraine).
Then came the piece d’ le cringe
As soon to be departed Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and the current Biden Regime Border Czar, Kamala Harris unfurled a massive Ukraine flag and draped it over the ledge behind Zelensky as a thunderous applause rang out as the Ukraine leader stole a kiss from Crazy Nancy, and it was in that moment, that we achieved world peace.
That and Zelensky was set to take home a reassurance that not only was get getting his Patriot Missile Systems (which also means regular U.S. soldiers on the ground), and all but guaranteed an additional $47 billion dollars in cash, aid and equipment for the upcoming year with no perspective end to the laundering in sight.
Fantastic.
I watched the events unfold before my eyes on television last night, and it hit me.
We, the America First, nationalist, populists have been doing this all wrong, or at the very least have been burdened with much biased rap and aren’t being given a fair play.
When you break it down to the bare bones of it all, there is very little difference between (the idea that we are being force fed) Zelensky and Donald Trump.
I know, it sounds crazy, but just hear me out.
Both Volodymyr Zelenski and Donald Trump rose to their respective (political) fames after coming from entertainment and business backgrounds and were both widely enjoyed by the masses far and wide.
Zelensky, who began his career performing slapstick comedy later secured a role in a sitcom drama where he eventually found himself playing the Ukrainian president after a Russian invasion threatened the wheat-producing nations very existence.
And then that literally happened.
Donald Trump made a name for himself building massive skyscrapers and luxury hotel casinos, he wrote a few books, hosted some memorable episodes of SNL, built several golf resorts and eventually came up with the idea for The Apprentice, a prime-time television hit that ran for many years. When the Clinton Crime Syndicate tried to recapture the White House in 2016, it was Donald Trump who beat the odds and became President, in an equally unprecedented fashion to Zelensky’s rise to power.
Donald Trump was accused of being a Russian asset and Zelensky has been accused of being a puppet or plant for the intelligence community.
Both leaders love border security; Zelensky has always pointed to the importance of having a strong eastern border and the 45th President made the U.S. Southern Border safer than it had been in nearly 100 years. So far, the United States has given Zelensky over $100 million dollars to ensure that his eastern border is secure, however when Trump requested the same border security for a measly $5 billion and then $3.5 billion dollars, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi and a delegation of Congressional Republicans led by then Speaker Ryan and mainstay Mitch McConnell shut our government down on two separate occasions because:
If you want to defend foreign borders with U.S. monies using literal Nazi’s then that’s fine, but if want to secure our borders with U.S. monies then you are in fact, the literal Nazi’s.
Weird, right?
During the Trump presidency, the 45th President faced his second impeachment trial for what turned out to be a perfect phone call with Ukranian President Zelensky who received high praises from the U.S. for the same call and even was given a parting gift, retaining disgraced former Army Lieutenant, Alexander Vindman as a defense advisor in the deal.
Donald Trump has been proven correct in his lofty accusations that the mainstream media, print press and big tech entities have all collaborated to sabotage his presidency, ruin his reelection bid and now are working collectively with all branches of the federal government and the DNC to prevent him from running for a third time in 2024. The same conglomerate of entities has also collaborated in creating the alternative reality where Zelensky is the hero in all of this mess.
That hero in Volodymyr Zelenski has in just the last twelve months, banned opposition media, including large facets of the print press in Ukraine, combined all of the national television channels into a state-run operation, exiled or jailed members of the opposition party and banned the Ukranian Orthodox Church from practicing within its ever changing but much more secure borders. He has essentially crowned himself the King of Ukraine, while convincing the world instead that his neighbor to the east is the dictator which we all need to eliminate, yes, I said eliminate, just ask Senator Lindsey Graham.
It’s not like personality-wise you have much of a difference when it comes to the two leaders in the way that they conduct themselves on an international stage. Zelensky demands money, resources, aid and military equipment from whoever will listen or adhere, while Donald Trump said the right things, proposed the correct moves, and led from a “front of the pack” position that saw him encounter more setbacks than probably any world leader has in the history of the universe.
Which leads me to the point of this extremely sarcastic and painfully sad take on the reality of D.C. politics inside the Beltway today.
The United States had a Volodymyr Zelenski before Ukraine had one, in fact, we had a better one. In 2016, we elected a rock star in Donald Trump who didn’t need high heels to win and put some of the biggest geopolitical baddies on the planet on notice; forcing some, like Vladimir Putin to bend the knee while others like Iranian General, Qasem Soleimani became stains on the fabric of time.
But we have allowed the D.C. Uniparty and elites within both conferences to skew the narrative, bend reality, form opinion and demonize one while glorifying the other. Donald Trump fought relentlessly to secure our nation’s borders and to end meaningless foreign wars, while our Congress funds a non-NATO nation, with vague geopolitical ties to essentially fill the gap for the military industrial complex that the Afghan War did without ever missing a beat.
And while the direct funding for the conflict in Ukraine so far could have already paid for 34 U.S. Southern Border Walls that would be helping to prevent the humanitarian disaster in Texas, Arizona, New Mexico and California since Joe Biden assumed office, the proposed $47 billion dollars Zelensky all but secured this week during his visit will pay for nearly 14 more in 2023.
Which says a lot about the state of the nation this week as we head into the Christmas Break. Hypocrisy continues to reign supreme while the average person, the American taxpayer is continually force fed a fake news narrative on what’s best for them and best for the nation.
Just ask the FBI.
Regardless of whether or not you want to admit that Volodymyr Zelenski was cut from the mold that Donald Trump used to successfully win the presidency lead this nation through his first term in office, the similarities between the two and bullet the points amongst the pair that we have been conditioned through the messaging does not lie.
And if Donald Trump was given just a fraction of the benefit of the doubt, a fraction of the funds appropriated for border security, a fraction of good press that he never received throughout the course of his presidency then, we would be in a helluva lot better situation now that we currently sit, and we wouldn’t have to prop up false heroes on baseless premises like our government currently is doing with puppets like Zelensky. They don’t want the production but they’ll surely pay for it.
And we already have ourselves a pretty damn good Donald Trump.
