Mitch, we've got a problem.
As the midterm elections near, the "Old Crow,"(China) Mitch McConnell is quietly hinting that he'd rather retain his Senate Minority Leader spot than regain control of the Upper House.
The current wave of populist, MAGA candidates currently sweeping through the 2022 midterm election primary season (many with the endorsement of Donald Trump) is uncanny. With the defeat of RINO impeacher, Liz Cheney last week, it marked the first time in over five decades that a Cheney, Bush McCain or Clinton would not be serving in some form of federal service. Not only are the amount of endorsement wins (181 as of last week) eye-opening, but the Republican voter turnout should have all the pundits sweating, pollsters heading back to the drawing board and base feeling more galvanized than ever.
But we don’t, for some reason.
Every time MAGA catches a little wind in her sails, the overreaching federal government currently headed by the most Manchurian Candidate ever, unconstitutionally overreaches, bends the law and creates a new news narrative (hoax, witch hunt, etc.) to deflate the progress that the movement is making - and boy have we ever.
In several states we have seen the purging of voter rolls, removal of machines, shorting time to early vote, banning of drop boxes, conservatives signing up to participate in poll watching and election oversight and more day of voter turnout on day of election voting than we have ever seen before. The start to reform the voter systems in place across the country has begun and we have made substantial progress in a very short amount of time. Does it solve the problems that have plagued the overall voting apparatus for decades? It sure doesn’t. But it has pushed back on the democrat-controlled strangle hold on all thing’s elections and to this point they have not found a viable solution to. We continue to further secure and safeguard our elections if Trump endorsed candidates like Kari Lake (AZ), Dan Cox (MD) and Doug Mastriano (PA) can all clear the finish line in November as they have all made election reform centerpieces of their campaigns.
But leave it to the Biden Regime, partisan U.S. Dept. of Justice and the weaponized FBI to attempt to steal thunder from the Donald Trump comeback tour and remove the primary successes we are having in the 2022 midterm primaries and replace them with manufactured speculations like, “likely indictments” and “the focus of a criminal probe.” The raid on Mar-a-Lago came on the heels of the disaster of a Middle East Trip for Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi’s rogue trip to Taiwan, the passing of the CHIPS and Inflation (non) Reduction Act; two America Last pieces of legislation that everyone in the media on both sides of the isle were tearing up in the news and with Biden’s poll numbers and “direction of the nation” numbers continuing to plummet. The Administrative State needed a distraction, needed refocus and created their lie so that when the dust settled, the media would be talking about only this narrative and not the impending referendum that is scheduled for November when we head to the ballot box and release the Red Wave.
Unfortunately, and as is the case when it comes to MAGA, we are constantly facing forces from within our own party (not our own movement), so why would the fallout from the FBI raid be any different. It was originally reported, and now confirmed last week that Senate Minority Leader, the “Old Crow,” China Mitch McConnell was spreading doom and gloom regarding the forecasted flip of the Seante to the Republicans from its current 50/50 state in the 2022 midterm elections. What could McConnell’s beef possibly be with a such a strong slate of senatorial candidates who won primaries with huge voter turnouts? According to McConnell, the finiteness of the Seante and the deadlocked chamber now is less likely to flip than the House because of… Wait for it… “Candidate Quality.”
Or as I have repeatedly referred to it on our bi-weekly podcast, Steak for Breakfast - this is McConnell’s last chance to retain a position of power in his career, and it appears from the outside looking in, and that this is going to be the last jab that he thinks he can land on President Trump before the 45th President announces his formal reelection campaign next year. It is a risky move to say the least; many who have so openly pushed back on the kingmaker of the party have not fared so well - just ask the now eight of ten republican impeachers who won’t be participating in the 2022 midterm general election. However, Trump and McConnell have been at odds (more so than in the final year of the first Trump Administration) since early November 2020 following McConnell’s milquetoast response to the 2020 Election and the rhetoric he directed at Trump following the proceedings on January 6th. It’s safe to say that the relationship is dead (has been for quite some time) and is beyond repair, however that should not be the basis for McConnell’s current behavior; for when you look at the numbers, flipping the U.S. Senate is not only a possibility but likely if everyone gets on board, circles the wagons and is in for the fight.
Mitch McConnell’s addiction to power and his historically greedy nature has completely overcome his ability to lead and govern.
Late last week while speaking to a group of conservative constituents (remember, all of our congresspeople went on vacation after the Inflation Act passed) in Kentucky, Mitch McConnel forecast a grim outlook on Republicans retaking the U.S. Senate in November. In what may prove to be one of his last few shots towards the 45th President, McConnell cited “candidate quality” as the major reason why he feels that we may not win control of the Senate in the upcoming midterms. No one should be surprised by this, China Mitch has been a never Trumper since Day 1, had actively and overtly worked to push back on the nationalist, populist movement and MAGA to a point where his last ditch, desperation move to try and sabotage America First in November.
After the leftist, legacy media had their fun throughout the weekend spouting “maybe Trump’s endorsement isn’t all that important anymore,” and hyping up Mitch McConnell who is someone who is still feared and respected in the Senate -
Both narratives couldn’t be any further from the truth.
China Mitch has been grooming never-Trumper and establishment RINO John Thune (the current senate GOP whip, lol) to be his successor for years now, and in my opinion, he will be tapped to lobby himself for majority leader as early as 2023, but more likely 2025. It’s almost certain that McConnell will not run for reelection; he’ll be 83 years old at the time, and after this recent dustup between he and President Trump, it’s even more certain that Trump will kingmake a primary challenger if he does try to run. So, with the writing on the wall, is the only play that McConnell really has here is to try and sabotage the midterms? We are already seeing conflicting narratives regarding even that since the McConnell comments lit up the last weekends news circuit.
Just this week, we have seen Mitch McConnell-directed PACs ship approx. $28 million dollars to Pennsylvania to assist in the Dr. Oz race and another $34 million dollars over to Ohio to help JD Vance in his midterm general election contest. The radical progressives are really going after Herschel Walker in GA and Blake Masters is under heavy attack by the democrat establishment machine in Arizona. Even though Adam Laxalt has finally pulled ahead in his race, the democrat crazies that have purpled that state over the last decade are not going to hand it over to Donald Trump, MAGA or their America First candidate.
I relish in the fact that four out of five of these candidates are essentially career non-politicians and that their message, the America First message has really resonated with the voters in these battleground states. I think that is really what keeps Mitch McConnell up at night.
There is a legitimate path to a supermajority in the U.S. Senate by 2026, one that can see Republicans hold as many as 63 senate seats. It begins this year by securing Ohio, and flipping Arizona, Nevada, Georgia and Pennsylvania - shit, even New Hampshire and Connecticutt are in play at the moment - this movement we are in the midst of is real.
In a perfect world, Mitch McConnell’s swan song would be to the tune of making this upcoming midterm election the last stamp on his muddied legacy. Between the Chinese connections and the millions made, there was still a time when McConnell was feared and respected within the party. Those days have long passed, however the is still an opportunity to make his legacy not be totally horrendous, and that can only happen if he is willing to actually work and lead this party back into power.
What we can do at the ballot box this fall is ensure is that McConnell at least has the chips to play with at the big boy table (depending on whether we win back control AND if he survives the leadership vote). The current regime and the puppet president are burning this country down to the ground today. What elements of the economy that won’t be negatively affected by the America Last CHIPs Act and Green New Deal 2.0, Inflation (non) Reduction Act don’t destroy, the student loan forgiveness that Joe Biden promised to sign today surely will. The war on the hard working, blue collar, middle class is in its final stages before we can end the Biden mandate and completely shut down Susan Rice, Ron Klaine and whoever else is currently really running the country once and for all. Pride may be the hardest pill to swallow, but with Donald Trump notching his 199th endorsement victory of the primary season this week after the New York, Florida and Oklahoma (special runoff) races now all settled, Mitch McConnell might not have a choice but to play ball or Deal with the (wrath of the) Don, and we all know how that one (usually) end.
