The Omnibus is an Omnibust for Americans
Mitch McConnell hates the America First Movement and will do anything within his power to stop Donald Trump's latest bid for the White House. Think it doesn't start with the Omnibus Bill? Think again.
As the sham, January 6th, Non-Select Committee came to an unceremonious close earlier this week, the latest edition of “Trump is finished,” and, “the walls are closing in,” came in the form of hand-delivered, criminal charges recommended to the U.S. Department of Justice which included:
Obstruction of an official proceeding
Conspiracy to defraud the U.S. Government
Conspiracy to make a false statement
Conspiracy to insurrection (really)
One more hurdle for Donald Trump overcome. Much to the enjoyment of Senate Minority Leader, Mitch McConnell.
This is a huge week for the 117th Session of Congress.
Nancy Pelosi is conducting her farewell tour, Title-42 was extended down on the U.S. Southern Border after a last-minute SCOTUS decision, Ukrainian President, Volodymir Zelenskyy is set to land in D.C. to address the U.S. House of Representatives and grift for more money, and the 1.7 trillion-dollar Omnibus Bill is on the table and set to pass which will severely cripple the incoming Republican House for the next fiscal year (FY 23).
Much at the direction of Senate Minority Leader, Mitch McConnell.
The Omnibus Bill that’s proposed to fund the federal government for FY 23 is not only a record in size at 1.7 trillion dollars, but also ranks at an all-time high for pork (garbage) that’s woven into it with at least 4,500 earmarks.
Besides the renaming of post offices and weird shit tied to Salmon (or Salmonids as is referred to in the bill), there is quite a bit an eye-opening (but status quo) for the defenders of the establishment.
The Electoral Count Act is in the bill
$45 billion dollars is set to be transferred over to Ukraine
a billion dollars will go to Puerto Rico’s power grid restoration, zero will be directed domestically for the same
$400 is set to be appropriated through DHS for the Border Patrol - but not for border security. The money is set to refurbish migrant detention centers to make their stays more “humane”
The location of the next FBI Headquarters (Fed Hive)
All under the negotiative tactics of Senate Minority Leader, Mitch McConnell.
Who said yesterday that, “Providing aid to Ukraine was the number one priority of most Americans and Republicans,” while we wrestle with the notion of admitting that we’re in a recession while the border is set to endure a year of proposed 5 million crossings on top of the 5 million that we have already seen under the first two years of the Biden Regime.
What comes with the eventually passing of the Omnibus Bill this week should be a harsh reminder (not like we need one) that the Federal Government doesn’t work for the American people anymore. They haven’t for a long time and at this rate probably won’t for the foreseeable future.
That future includes what follows the 2024 General Election cycle, and if Donald Trump can beat the odds (again) and win the presidency.
This week, Tucker Carlos did a piece on how recently released JFK documents all but confirm that the CIA aided in, if not pulled the trigger that led to the assassination of the 35th President.
Watergate happened. The Gulf War Happened. 9/11 happened. The invasion of Iraq and withdrawal from Afghanistan happened. The economic and housing market crashes both happened. Then Spygate happened. Russiagate happened. Two fake impeachments happened. Whatever happened during the 2020 Presidential Election happened and the January 6th whatever you want to call it at the Capitol happened.
Doesn’t seem like these days that something isn’t manufactured to happen, happens. These days many of the backroom operations that are keeping these America Last incidents alive come at the discretion of Senate Minority Leader, Mitch McConnell.
Rather that quash the January 6th Committee by using his longtime relationships with Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi, McConnell sat idly by and watched in delight as our federal government crafted a false narrative and alternative reality to the fedsurrection that took place at the Capitol that day, while Nancy Pelosi used the opportunity to “get Trump” be captured in HD by an HBO documentary film crew.
Mar-a-Lago was raided less than ninety days before the 2022 midterm elections. The partisan DOJ led by revenge hire Merrick Garland and the FBI (or DBI as Trump now calls them - Democrat Bureau of Investigation) headed by Chris Wray descended on the Florida residence of the 45th President and conducted an operation to try and intimidate Donald Trump.
Seems to have worked marvelously.
It also seemed like a good instance where Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell could have interjected, intervened or spoken up and pushed back on the obvious disregard for both the rule of law and standard practices when the DOJ worked cases regarding former presidents.
Fat chance.
Three months later, Donald Trump declared his candidacy for the 2024 Presidential Election and in that sent a shot across the bow of the Beltway that he wasn’t going anywhere. As a matter fact, he was coming for them; the Uniparty, the establishment and most importantly, the Administrative State.
Mitch McConnell has never been America First, and now in the latter-most stages of his career (more than likely serving his last term) never will be. His overt and blatant disregard for the phenomena that is MAGA, and Donald Trump has set the country back decades regarding everything from the economy and energy dependance to military might around the globe and geopolitical standing in the world.
McConnell has colluded with Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and their congressional counterparts allowing Joe Biden to hold the title of legislative juggernaut throughout his presidency, while only having to worry about senate flip-floppers Joe Manchin and Krysten Sinema; minor speedbumps compared to what Biden’s predecessor had to endure - which was literally obstacles at every thinkable angle (and all the ones that the FBI, DOJ, DNI, DHS, DOD, DNC and RNC would fabricate in between) along the way.
The most sensible reality for the Omnibus Bill in this lame duck session of congress would be nothing short of DOA. The 118th session of congress is due to be sworn in on January 3rd, 2023, and we are in Christmas week, 2022. The majority in the House of Representatives has flipped and albeit by a slim majority, Republicans will control the gavel in 2023 and instead of working on oversight, investigation and anything that’s remotely relevant to benefit the American people, instead will pass this Omnibus later this week and for the entire FY 23 live under the premise, the appropriations and rule of Nancy Pelosi’s, Chuck Schumer and Joe Biden’s budget putting the all Republicans at a major disadvantage heading into the next election cycle.
Even serial opportunist and casual MAGA enjoyer, Kevin McCarthy can’t get on board with this bill. His current stand against the McConnell led, Senate Republicans on the budget has come at a time where McCarthy is whipping hard for votes to attain the Speakership on January 3rd. Not to worry though, McConnell has wished him well in his endeavors further confirming the Uniparty is alive and well and working against us in ways we can only imagine.
As is life in the Mitch McConnell Lane of the U.S. Senate.
Now Democrats will create the alternate reality and project that even though Republicans now control the lower chamber of congress (although they’ll now have no control over the next year’s budget), that it will be their fault for continued inflation, the eventual admittance to being in a recession, the border breaking open after Title-42 is finally lifted, high gas prices, empty shelves and eventual foreign conflicts we will interject ourselves into in the coming year, like the possibility of getting back into the mix in Afghanistan (didn’t see that one coming? because it more than likely is).
As it stands, 2022 is looking to end much the same way it began - with Republicans racking up the L’s and looking further from any kind of unity with the Speaker of the House up for grabs and the RNC Chairmanship being challenged for the first time since the 2016 cycle.
The only mainstay in all of this mess is Senate Minority Leader, Mitch McConnell, who will consequently begin the 118th Session of Congress in the exact same quiet position of power that he has always operated freely in with very little recourse.
Holding enough of a hand that still whips ten or so Senate Republicans (McConnell actually got 21 Senators to vote initially on this Omnibus Bill) to vote against the will of the people opposite of where a majority of the party is, much as is the case with the Omnibus Bill is that’s up for a vote this week.
Which undoubtedly will pass.
And places us (again) as a party and a movement at a crossroads. Although I feel optimism in seeing many more Republicans push back against this budget as when in years past, we would witness feeble attempts at oversight go in and out of the news cycle faster than the next Donald Trump hit piece.
The burning question here is when will a delegation large enough that’s willing to place principle over status quo willing to push back once and for all against the Mitch McConnell machine and end his disastrous reign over the Republican Party.
McConnell almost cost us the first Trump presidency before he cost us the first Trump presidency. He was a no-show in the 2018 midterm elections and was conveniently destructive in the wake of the 2020 Presidential Election. More recently, McConnell is personally responsible for at least two senate seats in this year’s midterms, giving the Democrats the outright majority.
And Mitch McConnell is about to give Democrats control of the 2023 budget over the majority Republicans in the House and no one in the Beltway will bat an eye once the votes are cast later this week - well, because it’s Christmas.
He’s been the root causes of just about all of our problems in the Republican Party, and now Mitch McConnell is watching it all burn down on his way out the door.
What a hell of an exit.
Keep up the good work Rone. Love steak for breakfast.
