Trump Launches his Quest to Reclaim the White House with events in New Hampshire and South Carolina
The 45th President embarked on his journey to reclaim the presidency with two, intimate speaking engagements in early primary states Saturday.
Former President Donald Trump launched his 2024 presidential campaign on Saturday afternoon, with two in-person events in New Hampshire and South Carolina.
Trump is the current frontrunner and most prominent announced candidate in the 2024 presidential race who is armed with an over $100 million dollar war chest, took to the road laying out his campaign platform and presenting his state delegations in two of the early primary states on Saturday. Speaking at the New Hampshire Republican Party’s annual meeting in Salem and delivering the keynote address, Trump opened by reminding the audience that “This race is not mine, this race is ours,” paying homage to his MAGA base before pivoting to attack his critics who since November have assailed his “inactivity” (even throughout the holiday season and with the general election still 645 days away) was worrisome by stating, “I am more angry now and more committed now than I ever was!”
Flanked by the departing New Hampshire GOP Chairman, Steve Stepanaek, who was the co-chair for Trump’s first presidential campaign (2015), Trump announced Stepanaek would be stepping down to join the national campaign team as a senior advisor for the Granite State for the 2024 election cycle. Trump also vowed to work with Beltway Republicans to keep New Hampshire as the first state primary election; something the Biden Regime has worked to change ahead of the upcoming 2024 race. Trump also promised to “turn New Hampshire red,” as the most recent polls have the 45th President 3 points ahead of the current Commander-in-Chief.
Trump would take time to meet with the press in between events, and during an exchange with CNN while taking a question about the prospectus of Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis possibly running in 2024, Trump responded by stating DeSantis was, “trying to rewrite history about his pandemic response,” and “I think it would be disloyal if he decided to run for president, now.”

Saturday evening, Trump would jet down the coast to Columbia, South Carolina, where he held a second campaign event and was joined by longtime supporters and former endorsees, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), current Governor Henry McMaster (R-SC), and U.S. House Rep. Russell Fry (R-SC). The trio gives Trump a strong footing in the state (at the state and congressional level), to a pre-established campaign apparatus and gets his team ahead of current Senator, Tim Scott (R-SC) who is currently mulling a 2024 candidacy as well.
Trump addressed the energized crowd and began his address by stating that, “The 2024 presidential election is our one (last) shot to save our country, and we need a leader who is ready to do that on day one. We need a fighter who can stand up to the left, who can stand up to the swamp, stand up to the media, stand up to the deep state - am I allowed to say stand up to the RINOs too?”
The remark actually drew a smirk from Senator Lindsey Graham, as did the remarks Trump made about the Ukraine and Russia conflict - a conflict to which he said he could broker a peace deal “in twenty four hours.”

Trump then settled into the more policy-driven portion of his speech, promising that on day one of the next Trump Administration all of the abandoned Trump-era U.S. Southern Border policies would be reinstated.
Trump talked tough on trade and jobs regarding China, reaffirmed that there are only two genders (male and female) and ended his address in a less energetic but more polished way than he does at his signature Save America Rallys.

Afterwards and before returning to South Florida, Trump stopped by the local Columbia restaurant Zesto to meet with potential voters, pose for pictures and enjoy a chocolate dipped, soft serve cone before being prayed over by the cashier who served him.

This news piece on the 2024 presidential primary race is the first since Donald Trump’s November announcement. We will be examining many other newsworthy items and publishing more campaign analysis pieces we over the course of the next twenty two months.
